Titera's Tidbit: Sybaritic
Synonymous with the hedonistic rush to gratify all desires, "sybaritic" means "of Sybaris", referring to a Greek colony in southern Italy. The residents of Sybaris were so devoted to fine living they trained their warhorses to dance in formation to the playing of flutes - whereupon the enemy employed flautists to drive the horses to confusion an insure Sybaris' downfall.
